Professor Matthew Bacon is the creative driving force in the Partnership alongside Professor John Chelsom. He is a natural ‘ideas’ person and has a unique ability to synthesise complex issues and come up with the elegant solution.
He has often been described as a visionary, and regularly takes part in strategic forums and futures type workshops focused on setting strategic direction for organisations in the years ahead. Over the last decade he has written extensively on IT futures in the Built Environment. In January 2009 he was a member of the team that wrote the report: Future Generation of IT, published by the Salford Centre for Construction Innovation. His latest book contribution: Futures in Collaborative Construction Information Management was published in July 2009.
